The BEST way to catch problems before they happen
is to service your system regularly with our Annual
Maintenance Contracts. Regular maintenance keeps your
system in its best condition, reduces your energy bills, helps prevent breakdowns, and also gives
you preferred customer priority service. We recommend cleaning & servicing your
unit every 6 months, included in annual plans.
I can understand why under sizing
would be a problem, but why would over sizing become a problem?
If too large of a unit is chose to cool your
home, your system will "short-cycle". Short-cycling occurs when the unit is too
large because the unit can achieve desired air temperature by running only a
short period of time before cycling off. Air Conditioners do two things, remove
heat from the air, AND remove moisture from the air. When short cycling occurs,
the air may be cooled quickly, but very little moisture is removed. This
moisture is then trapped in your home not only leaving it feeling muggy and
humid inside, but also encourages mildew and mold to grow.
